OUR STORY

In August 2014, Anya and Jennifer got together for the first time in years. They had kept in touch online since meeting in a writing workshop, but this was their first time living near each other since college. They figured, what do extroverts do? Extroverts meet people for coffee.

So they found an adorable coffee shop. It was the middle of one of the worst droughts in California's history, yet Anya and Jennifer got caught in an absolute downpour.

After hugging and exclaiming about the rain, they looked expectantly at each other, waiting for the other to go order. But it turned out neither one was a coffee drinker.

"What do you mean you don't drink coffee?"
"What do you mean you don't drink coffee?"

Once they had finished laughing, they settled on tea and hot chocolate. They had planned to meet for only an hour or two but ended up curled on one of the coffee shop's couches for much longer, catching up and brainstorming. They quickly realized that their editing philosophies aligned and their years of expertise perfectly complemented one another's.

Touchstone Editing was conceived that day, in that adorable coffee shop, while it poured for the first time in months. In March 2015, Anya and Jennifer's planning came to fruition, and Touchstone Editing officially began helping authors transform their drafts into stories that readers love.
